PAS 2025 – The Works in Progress (WIP) Poster Submission

To support Trainees adapting to the new PAS 2025 Abstract submission deadline, PAS offers a special Works in Progress Poster Submission option. This allows submissions where data collection or analysis is still in progress, provided that the Background, Objective, and Design/Methods are complete at the time of submission, and the study has begun.

Submission Details

  • Eligibility: Only Trainees who are Presenting/First Authors can submit. The Presenting/First Author must also be the submitter, with a Mentor listed as an author.
  • Requirements: Submissions must include detailed Background, Objective, Study Design/Methods, and a plan for completing data analysis. Any incomplete datasets must be completed by April 1, 2025, for presentation at PAS 2025.
  • Completion Assurance: If datasets are not complete by April 1, PAS will alert authors, and incomplete submissions may be removed from the PAS Program.

Submission Criteria

  • Submissions must be complete by November 4, 2024. If your results are not finalized by April 1, 2025, you must inform PAS so that the poster can be removed if necessary.
  • Incomplete or unchanged submissions can be resubmitted as completed abstracts for PAS 2026 if substantial changes are made.

Key Details:

  • Submission Deadline: November 4, 2024, at 11:59 pm CT
  • Submission Fee: $100 (non-refundable, payable by credit card ONLY)

This special submission option is designed to support trainees whose research may not yet be complete by the standard abstract submission deadline. If your abstract is accepted, the submission fee will not apply to your PAS registration. Accepted Works in Progress Submissions should be cited as “Works in Progress Poster, PAS 2025 Meeting” on CVs.

Abstract Presentation formats (Platform, Oral Poster Symposium, Poster, or Works in Progress Poster) are determined in December by the PAS Program Committee.

  • Platform sessions are 90 minutes long. Presentations are 15 minutes (10 minutes/presentation; 5 minutes/discussion).
  • Poster symposium sessions are 90 minutes in length and consist of a poster viewing period followed by a formal presentation or discussion period. Session moderators determine the presentation or discussion format for poster symposium sessions.
  • Poster sessions are two to three hours long and consist of a general viewing and author attendance period.
  • Detailed instructions for the preparation of slides and posters, as well as scheduling notices, will be provided to the contact author with the presentation notification.
  • The complete schedule of all abstract presentations will be finalized in early 2025.

THINGS TO REMEMBER WHILE SUBMITTING:

  • ONLY the Presenting Author may submit due to DEI requirements.
    • Only Trainees who are Presenting/First Authors may submit a Works in Progress Submission.
  • All submitters are expected to give proactive attention to  Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as sessions are planned.
