Call for a Renal Genetics Interest Group

We would like to start a Renal Genetics interest group to connect pediatric nephrologists working in this area. This group will provide an opportunity to:

  1. Create a community for pediatric nephrologists involved in renal genetics clinics or interested in learning more about genetic testing for kidney disease
  2. Discuss best practices for genetic testing in kidney disease
  3. Gather insights from others on the logistics of running a renal genetics clinic and sharing ideas for clinic models
  4. Discuss interesting and difficult cases in determining genetic diagnoses for kidney disease or how to handle variants of uncertain significance
  5. Discuss ethics of genetic testing in pediatric patients, including insurance implications and genetic counseling
  6. Expanding research in renal genetics

To participate in any of the ASPN Interest Group activities, active ASPN membership is required. This ensures that all participants have access to the full range of benefits and resources provided by the ASPN. Engaging with our Interest Groups offers valuable opportunities for networking, professional development, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric nephrology. Join or renew your ASPN membership today to take full advantage of these enriching experiences.
