For those attending the IPNA Congress in Cape Town in February, there is an opportunity to donate usable but expired PD & HD catheters to the Saving Young Lives project. These catheters, though past their expiration date, remain sterile and can provide life-saving treatment. Donations of all types of dialysis catheters—PD, HD, temporary, permanent, and Hickmann lines—are welcome.
On January 21, Acting HHS Secretary Dorothy Fink issued a temporary pause on public communications, grant announcements, and meetings with agency officials through at least February 1, 2025. ASPN continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available through ASPN Weekly Newsletter “Kidney Briefs“.
