ASPN Committee Co-Chair Application form

We are excited to announce that several ASPN committees are currently seeking dedicated members to join as Co-Chairs. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in guiding the future of pediatric nephrology and contribute to our vibrant community. Below, we have outlined the available Co-Chair positions and their responsibilities.

Certification Committee:

  • Develop a new MOC Part 4 QI project- Improving Pediatric Nephrologists Professional Well-being and Engagement in ASPN.
  • Explore new MOC opportunities and share information on current opportunities

Clinical Affairs Committee:

  • Organize mini webinars or podcasts on common clinical care topics.
  • Continue quarterly webinars.
  • Update the CAC website for easier access to support materials like templates for prior authorization letters.

JEDI Committee:

  • Plan an in-person JEDI-focused gathering at ASN/PAS.
  • Collaborate with other subcommittees (Workforce, Global Health, Advocacy) on joint initiatives.
  • Relaunch the EDI-specific calendar and notify members of events and holidays.

Membership Committee:

  • Ensure a diverse, sustainable, and robust pediatric nephrology workforce by creating and maintaining robust tools and data practices to inform understanding of our contemporary workforce needs.
    • ACTION: Collect DEI and other society demographics
  • Position ASPN to be the leading voice of pediatric nephrology by collaborating with external organizations to enhance ASPN’s profile.
    • ACTION: Collaborate with American Board of Pediatrics to access centers that consistently have residents go into Nephrology. This could offer us an opportunity to target for discussion; maybe reaching out to those Pediatric Residency Program Directors as well.

We encourage you to consider these rewarding opportunities to co-lead and shape the future of pediatric nephrology within ASPN. If you're interested in any of these Co-Chair positions or know someone who might be, please fill out the form below.
