ASN Kidney Week 2025, the world’s premier nephrology meeting, will take place from Wednesday, November 5, to Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Houston, TX. This meeting provides the opportunity to connect with experts, exchange knowledge, learn about the latest scientific medical advances, and listen to provocative discussions. Held at ASN Kidney Week, the ASN Kidney Students and Residents (STARS) program is designed to help trainees explore the career opportunities available in nephrology. The Kidney STARS program pairs trainees with fellow and faculty mentors who will serve as their resources during the Kidney STARS program, which is held Thursday, November 6, through the afternoon of Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Houston.
Accepted Kidney STARS participants will receive:
- Travel support and complimentary registration to ASN Kidney Week 2025.
- A welcome breakfast, poster tours, a luncheon, networking opportunities, and career guidance panels.
Applicants must be:
- A graduate student, medical student, MD-PhD student, or resident in good standing at the time of ASN Kidney Week who is enrolled in an accredited program or university.
- Interested in pursuing a career in nephrology.
- Able to attend the entire meeting and all program events.
Students and/or residents should apply on the ASN website before the deadline on June 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Applicants with any questions should reach out to ASN at workforce@asn-online.org. In addition to STARS, ASN offers other Kidney Week travel support programs for trainees. Eligible trainees may apply to all programs but can only be selected for one each year.
