The 14th Annual ASPN Multidisciplinary Symposium takes place virtually on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM ET each day. The program is now final, and it reflects what the pediatric nephrology community has been telling us it needs.
Fourteen years of the same good idea
Most conferences are organized around a discipline. This one is organized around a patient. That has been the premise since the first Multidisciplinary Symposium, and it is why the meeting keeps drawing nurses, social workers, dietitians, physicians, child life specialists, and psychologists back each year.
Pediatric kidney care is a long game. A child diagnosed at four may be navigating dialysis at nine, transplant at twelve, and the transfer to adult care at nineteen. No single role carries that arc alone. The child who cannot swallow the pills, the teenager who stops taking them, the parent who cannot get time off work for clinic: each of those problems belongs to more than one person on the team. The symposium is built for the conversation that follows.
Each afternoon opens and closes with a general session that everyone attends together. In between are two rounds of breakouts with dedicated tracks for nurses, social workers, and dietitians, so the content stays specific to your role rather than pitched at everyone and landing for no one.
That structure is also an argument for registering as a team. When three colleagues attend and split up for the breakouts, they come back with three different sets of notes and one shared frame of reference.
Registration is virtual and afternoons only, so there is no travel, no hotel, and no full day away from clinic. Presentations shared by faculty are made available to attendees after the meeting. First-time attendees who have never held an ASPN membership receive Affiliate membership for the coming year with non-member registration, which is worth knowing if you are bringing colleagues who are new to the society.
