Research Committee

Charge

The ASPN Research Committee supports pediatric nephrology investigators through education, mentorship, grant review programs, research resources, and collaboration opportunities. We aim to strengthen the research pipeline by providing accessible tools, structured learning experiences, and a supportive community for ASPN trainees and faculty at all stages.

Ongoing Initiatives

  • Research webinars to promote recently published original pediatric nephrology research
  • Host webinars on topics related to research and mentorship
  • Mock study sections for planned grant submissions
  • Maintain grant and research resources databases
  • Support the ASPN mentorship program

Membership

The Research Committee shall consist of 3 Council appointed Chairs (1 Chair & 2 Co-Chairs) not on Council, a Council Liaison and volunteer members. Chairs will serve 3 year staggered terms. Terms may be renewable at the discretion of the Council.

The Research Committee welcomes ASPN members who are passionate about advancing pediatric kidney research. Opportunities include webinar development, database projects, mentorship roles, grant review, and other types of committee service.
