ASPN Statement Against Racism (June 02, 2020)

For many in our community, the events of the last week have caused great consternation and triggered feelings of intense disappointment, frustration, and anger. For others, what has transpired has caused frank fear for the safety of colleagues, friends, family, and loved ones as well as concern for those whom we do not know but whose rights we nonetheless value.

ASPN has always valued and been strengthened by the diversity of our pediatric nephrology community. As we all move forward to work to overcome the challenges that still exist to create a more just and equitable nation, ASPN will continue to promote tolerance and pluralism within our community.

We will always eschew racism and discrimination of all types.
