ASPN & ASN Promote Vaccine Confidence in Pediatric Kidney Community

ASPN remains steadfast in its mission to advocate for the health and well-being of all children, including those living with kidney disease. As part of this commitment, we strongly support vaccination as a vital tool in protecting vulnerable pediatric populations.

In 2023, ASPN partnered with the American Society of Nephrology’s Excellence in Patient Care (EPC) initiative to launch the Promoting Vaccine Confidence in the Pediatric Kidney Community project. This collaborative effort produced a range of valuable resources—now more relevant than ever—which are available on the project website. Highlights include:

  • A testimonial video featuring the mother of a pediatric kidney transplant recipient, sharing her reasons for choosing to vaccinate her daughter. This resource can be shared with families to support informed decision-making.
  • A series of posters promoting vaccine confidence, available in both English and Spanish. These downloadable PDFs are designed for distribution to patients and display in clinic settings. Versions are tailored to CKD, dialysis, and transplant populations.
