The 2024 ASN Loan Mitigation Program is now accepting applications. This program aims to support individuals like you in pursuing a career in nephrology while alleviating the burden of student loan debt.
In its fourth year, the program will prioritize candidates who have experienced personal or family hardships, increasing their need for financial assistance. Up to six candidates will be selected, each receiving $50,000 in support toward eligible student loans over three years.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Hold an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
• Be an Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Med-Peds resident or a recent graduate applying to a nephrology fellowship
• Applying to a nephrology or pediatric nephrology fellowship
• Provide proof of matching into an accredited nephrology fellowship starting in 2025
• Have at least $50,000 in eligible student loan debt
