Division Head of Pediatric Nephrology

The Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Virginia and University of Virginia Children's Hospital seeks candidates with strong academic stature and leadership ability for the position of Division Head. This open track position will have clinical, teaching, research and administrative responsibilities. Salary, rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience. Candidates must have a MD or DO degree and be board-certified in pediatric nephrology. Applicants with external research funding preferred.

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is a strong clinical and research division, comprised of 3 clinical board-certified nephrologists, an ACGME-accredited fellowship program, and an internationally recognized laboratory focused on renal development. Other active research projects include detection of and mechanisms of damage in AKI, actions of nephrotoxic drugs, and clinical trials. We have active dialysis (peritoneal, hemodialysis and CRRT) and apheresis services.
